Operations

NRW operates and participates in a broad offshore footprint in the Gulf of Mexico, encompassing multiple fields, platforms, and active wells across shallow-water federal leases.

Our portfolio includes operated and non-operated interests in established producing fields, with infrastructure ranging from single-platform assets to multi-platform complexes. These assets are supported by offshore pipelines and facilities that are actively maintained and managed to ensure safe, efficient performance

Operating Philosophy

NRW’s operating strategy is centered on disciplined execution and continuous improvement:

  • Maximizing value from existing proved developed reserves through focused production optimization

  • Prioritizing capital toward projects with rapid payback, low operating costs, and minimal execution risk

  • Reducing downtime and stabilizing production through proactive maintenance and operational oversight

  • Actively managing idle and expired wells in alignment with regulatory requirements

  • Maintaining strong working relationships with federal and state regulators governing offshore operations

Where appropriate, NRW evaluates non-producing and under-utilized assets for reactivation or repurposing, balancing near-term economics with long-term strategic value.

Safety, Compliance & Environmental Stewardship

Safety and environmental protection are core to NRW’s operating culture. The company conducts operations in accordance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations and strives to exceed minimum standards whenever possible.

NRW is committed to responsible offshore operations that protect personnel, contractors, the environment, and the communities connected to the Gulf Coast. This includes ongoing engagement with regulatory agencies and a forward-looking approach to environmental sustainability, including the evaluation of future carbon sequestration opportunities.
